The menu had a lot more food choices than I expected and the prices were reasonable. So if you are ordering for orders save yourself the hassle and find out in advance, meal or by itself? what type of meat? green or red? black beans or refried? all the toppings? Stressfull ordering process aside the service was excellent, very attentive and I never had to wait for a drink refill. I made over 5 trips back to the table to ask my husband a question about what he wanted because the perky teenager taking my order had a dozen questions about every item ordered and didn't think to give them all to me at once so I could only make a single embarrassing trip. What a mission! There were so many options that I wish we just had a form to fill out and turn in. Why not us? Because we had 2 kids under 2 already situated in the table I was tasked with ordering for everybody. For everybody that walked afterwards the staff immediately greeted them and asked them if it was their first time. We didn't see an "order here" sign from where we were and since nobody was in the counter we didn't find out how things worked until we asked. It's confusing that the menu is fancy and laminated yet you walk up to a counter to order. After a while a very friendly server got us drinks but we still didn't know how to order. My husband got us some menus and we picked a table. When we walked in there was no staff on the dining floor or counter and no indication on how we were supposed to order. The ambiance was nice, charming decoration including painted ceiling tiles. It was rather slow for dinner time on a Saturday. This was my first time dining at any Tijuana Flats location.
